Who is Piers Cameron?
Piers Cameron is a British painter and businessman born in 1949. He is known for his marriage to Mary Austin, the former partner of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.
Relationship with Mary Austin
Cameron and Austin were married in the early 1970s and had two sons together, Jamie and Richard. However, the marriage ended in divorce. Austin later went on to have a long-term relationship with Mercury.
Despite their divorce, Cameron and Austin have remained close friends. Mercury even served as godfather to their son Richard.
Cameron has expressed his feelings of being overshadowed by Mercury, who he described as "a force of nature."
